Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 has revealed its first teaser video, a new director and the returning cast and staff behind the fantasy action anime. The second season is scheduled to debut in 2027, with Crunchyroll confirming it will stream the series.
A new director joins ACGT
Tetsuya Yanagisawa, who directed the first season, returns as overall director. Kenichi Ishikura takes over as director for the new season, working at ACGT. Mariko Kunisawa is back on series composition, while Takafumi Furusawa again handles character designs.
The returning cast
Ryōta Ōsaka returns as Fate Graphite, with Tomokazu Seki as Greed, Hisako Tōjō as Roxy Heart, Misato Matsuoka as Myne, Hitomi Sekine as Eris and Takehito Koyasu as Aaron.

The teaser puts Fate back at the centre of the series’ power-hungry fantasy, while the new production details point to a season that is changing its directorial lead without abandoning the creative team and cast established in the first run.
Our opinion
A new director is a meaningful change for a returning anime, but this announcement is deliberately reassuring: the overall director, series composer, character designer and principal cast remain in place. The 2027 return now has a clear hook in the teaser and a continuity signal for viewers who enjoyed Fate’s first battle for control of Gluttony.
