Detective Conan gets watercolour stands and trading cards

Detective Conan characters get pencil-art wooden stands and two trading card releases, with Japanese pre-orders open until 8 November.

Detective Conan Vol. 3 trading photo-style cards from the official Zero Geo Act online store

A new range of Detective Conan merchandise turns the series’ cast into pencil-art wooden diorama stands and trading photo-style cards, with pre-orders now open through the official Zero Geo Act online store. The range covers familiar faces from the anime, including Conan Edogawa, Shinichi Kudo, Ran Mouri, Ai Haibara, Kaito Kid, Shuichi Akai and Toru Amuro.

The wooden diorama collection is designed around a watercolour-pencil look rather than the show’s usual finished animation style. Each stand is an A5-size board before assembly, giving the artwork a flatter, illustrated presentation while retaining the depth of a display piece. Seven character designs are available, priced at ¥1,980 each.

The accompanying trading cards split the supporting cast into two releases. Vol. 2 includes nine designs, adding Heiji Hattori and Kazuha Toyama to the character line-up, while Vol. 3 offers eight designs centred on the Metropolitan Police and Public Security characters. A full box is intended to collect every design in its respective release: Vol. 2 costs ¥4,455, and Vol. 3 costs ¥3,960.

The official store lists the products for pre-order until 11:59 p.m. on 8 November 2026. Shipping is expected between mid and late December. The store also notes that these are advance-order items, so the delivery window is a plan rather than a guarantee of arrival on a specific day.

The release arrives as Detective Conan continues its long-running anniversary cycle. The television anime began in 1996 and has now passed 1,100 episodes, while the franchise’s latest theatrical film and 30th-anniversary broadcast have kept the wider property in the spotlight. Those milestones provide useful context, but the new products are a separate merchandise launch rather than an announcement about a new anime story.

Our opinion

This is a focused collector release rather than a throwaway tie-in. The pencil-art treatment gives the wooden stands a clear identity, and the split card line-up makes the Public Security and police characters a sensible second hook for fans who already own the central cast. The main caveat is scale: the 180px source image is a compact product listing image, so buyers should check the official store pages for the full product views and final delivery details before ordering.

The official Zero Geo Act store is the place to confirm availability, product variants and the reservation deadline. Prices and dates above are those listed for the Japanese release and may not translate directly to overseas availability.
