Dragon Ball Super: Beerus lands on Netflix in the US on 17 October
Netflix has confirmed a US streaming date of 17 October for the enhanced Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, days after the series begins its Japanese broadcast on Fuji TV.

Netflix will stream Dragon Ball Super: Beerus in the United States from 17 October, the service confirmed on 1 October with a post on its main account and a trailer on its anime channel.
The trailer, published by Netflix Anime, signs off with the line “Coming October on Netflix” and points viewers to the series’ Netflix listing. The US date is the only one Netflix has attached a number to so far.
A Japanese broadcast comes first
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus begins on Fuji TV’s nationwide network on 11 October at 11:15 p.m. JST, according to the series’ official website. Prime Video and U-NEXT carry the fastest Japanese stream half an hour later, from 12:15 a.m. JST, so Netflix’s US launch lands six days behind the Japanese premiere.
A rebuilt, enhanced Dragon Ball Super
The project is an enhanced edition of Dragon Ball Super rather than a straight remake. The production adds a large volume of newly drawn cuts, redraws existing scenes, rebuilds the story from Akira Toriyama’s original work and re-renders the footage, with new dubbing and added score and sound effects.
Masako Nozawa returns as Son Goku, with Kōichi Yamadera back as the God of Destruction, Beerus. MEGATERA・ZERO performs the opening theme, “ONOGAMI”, and VK Blanka handles the ending theme, “Kan Peki no Peki”.
Our opinion
Netflix has spent the past two years quietly becoming the default overseas home for the biggest shonen titles, and a same-month US landing for a Beerus-led rebuild fits that playbook neatly. The six-day gap between Fuji TV and US streaming is tighter than the months-long waits fans used to accept, even if it is still a gap. What matters more is whether the enhanced cut earns its name: extra footage and a rebuilt story are easy to promise, and a decade-old arc needs more than polish to feel urgent again.
