Girls und Panzer das Finale is rolling towards its final battle. Bandai Namco Filmworks has released a second full trailer and key visual for Part 5, the second-to-last film in the six-part project, ahead of its Japanese cinema release on 9 October 2026.

The new material puts Ōarai Girls High School and St. Gloriana Girls’ College on a collision course, with Miho Nishizumi facing Darjeeling’s team in the final match of the Winter Continuous Track Cup. Alice has also transferred to St. Gloriana, setting up another clash with Miho.

This looks like exactly the sort of big-screen nonsense Girls und Panzer does best: serious tactical drama, school rivalries and tanks treated with the reverence of championship athletes. The final match setup gives Part 5 a stronger sense of occasion than a simple “more tank battles” sequel.

The only immediate frustration is the lack of an international release date. For now, fans outside Japan will need patience, while Japanese audiences get the definitive version of the spectacle in formats ranging from Dolby Cinema to motion seats.

Recommendation: keep this firmly on your watchlist. Girls und Panzer das Finale Part 5 is not the finale yet, but it is heading into the project’s most important battle with the right rivals, the right scale and a promising selection of theatrical formats.
