Go Go Loser Ranger manga goes on hiatus again
Go, Go, Loser Ranger! is taking another health-related break, with no date announced for the manga’s return.
Go, Go, Loser Ranger! is going on hiatus again after creator Negi Haruba’s health prompted a new break, with no return date announced. The news was published in the 47th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine, according to Anime News Network.1
The pause comes shortly after the manga returned from a two-month break on September 24. It had previously stopped in July for health reasons, making this the latest interruption for a series that has now entered its final arc. Haruba launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2021.1
What we know about the break
The magazine announcement does not say when the next chapter will arrive. That means readers should treat the hiatus as open-ended rather than expect a specific resumption date. The announcement also follows a period of rapid story movement: the manga entered its final arc in March after returning from another month-long hiatus.1
Go, Go, Loser Ranger! (Sentai Daishikkaku) turns the familiar sentai formula inside out. Its monster army was defeated years ago, but the surviving invaders are forced to stage weekly battles for the public. One foot soldier decides that the arrangement has to end and attempts to bring down the Dragon Keepers from within. Kodansha USA publishes the series in English.1
The manga’s television adaptation has also helped expand its audience. The first season premiered in 2024, followed by a second season in 2025, with Disney+ streaming the anime worldwide and Hulu carrying it in North America, according to Anime News Network.1
For now, readers have no confirmed timetable beyond the fact that Haruba’s health is the reason for the break. A pause without a return date is frustrating, but the repeated announcements make the practical priority clear: the manga will return when its creator is ready, rather than to an artificial schedule.
Our opinion
Another hiatus is disappointing, especially with the manga in its final arc, but a health-led break should not be treated as a cliffhanger to rush past. The series’ central joke is built on dismantling a performance of heroism; its own release schedule should not become another performance. Giving Haruba room to recover is more important than preserving a weekly routine.
