Magical Chiikawa launches enormous plush pre-orders

Chiikawa (ちいかわ) is getting three enormous new plush toys based on the Magical Chiikawa characters Strong Hachiware, Strong Usagi and Ano Ko. The official Chiikawa Market shop is taking reservations until 20 October at noon Japan time, with each plush priced at ¥7,700 including tax. ¹²

The details

The three plush toys are part of the Fuwari Mocchiri Gororin collection, with each one measuring more than 70cm long. Strong Hachiware is approximately 70cm deep, Strong Usagi is also around 70cm deep, and Ano Ko stretches to roughly 75cm. The shop lists the products as pre-orders scheduled to ship from late February 2027. ¹²

The designs come from the Magical Chiikawa series and its Magical Syndrome special music video. The official shop lists all three products separately, while the announcement source identifies the characters as Strong Hachiware, Strong Usagi and Ano Ko. ¹²

Our opinion

This is a properly silly bit of Chiikawa merchandise in the best possible way: these are less desk ornaments than full-on sofa companions. The timing also makes the official shop listing useful rather than merely cute, because the reservation window is short and the delivery date is still months away. The only catch is obvious from the dimensions — check your available floor, bed or sofa space before ordering a plush that is nearly as long as a small child.

Reservations close at noon on 20 October through the official Chiikawa Market collection. ¹
