One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 sets January 2027 return
One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 is set for January 2027, with a new VIZ trailer and JAM Project opening theme confirmed.
One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 will begin airing in January 2027, with a new promotional video and the return of JAM Project confirmed for the opening theme. 1
The announcement covers the second cour of the third season of One-Punch Man (ワンパンマン), the superhero anime based on the manga by ONE and Yusuke Murata. The first cour aired from October to December 2025, while the new episodes will continue the clash between the Hero Association and Monster Association. 2
What the new trailer shows
VIZ’s official trailer puts Tatsumaki, Saitama, Garou and other S-Class heroes in the spotlight as the Monster Association conflict escalates. The trailer also confirms the January 2027 window and shows the series’ returning mix of large-scale battles and deliberately daft Saitama comedy. 1
The opening theme will again come from JAM Project. “Never Done — Supreme Power vs Ultimate Fear” is intended to reflect the fight between Saitama’s cool confidence and Garou’s increasingly dangerous transformation, according to the group’s accompanying comments. 2
The announcement also lists a January 27 release for the first Blu-ray and DVD volume of Season 3, including a new OVA and footage from the One-Punch Man music event held in September 2025. 2
Our opinion
A January 2027 return gives the second cour a clear hook, but the trailer’s real promise is its focus on the characters caught inside the Monster Association battle rather than another broad season tease. Tatsumaki, Garou and Saitama all bring very different kinds of chaos to the same conflict, and that contrast is exactly where One-Punch Man remains at its best. The new footage suggests the wait will be worthwhile if the adaptation can give those confrontations room to breathe.
The trailer is embedded below, and the next major milestone is the full broadcast announcement rather than another vague production update.
