SSS-Class Revival Hunter (死して生きるSSS級ハンター) has unveiled its second promotional video, announced a wider voice cast and confirmed an ending theme from THE SPELLBOUND and BOOM BOOM SATELLITES. The anime is still scheduled to begin broadcasting in January 2027. 12

A larger cast joins the tower

The newly announced cast includes Toshiki Masuda as the number-one-ranked Flame Emperor, Megumi Han as the Black Dragon Guild master, Sachika Kinoshita as the Paladin, Risa Shimizu as the Count, Makoto Furukawa as the Viper, Natsumi Fujiwara as the Inquisitor, Yuka Iguchi as the Alchemy Minister and Shunsuke Sakuya as the Sword Saint. 1

The second PV introduces those characters alongside Kim Gong-ja, the low-ranked hunter whose death-triggered skill sends him 24 hours into the past. Crunchyroll's official teaser establishes the same central premise: a mysterious tower has appeared, drawing hunters towards its monsters, danger and rewards. 23

New ending theme confirmed

THE SPELLBOUND and BOOM BOOM SATELLITES will perform the ending theme. The song's title and audio have not yet been released, but the artists said the track treats death as a starting point for moving towards a better future. 1

The series is based on a Korean novel and SMARTOON, and is set to air on Fuji TV's +Ultra block and other broadcasters from January 2027. 12

Our opinion

The new cast announcement gives SSS-Class Revival Hunter a clearer identity beyond its time-reset hook. A large ensemble of guild leaders and rival hunters should give the anime plenty of room for the tactical confrontations promised by its premise, while the ending-theme collaboration adds a useful musical signature before the full song is revealed. The second PV now has the harder job: proving that the adaptation can turn a complicated power system and a crowded cast into a story that is easy to follow week by week.
