Studio Trigger confirms a second cour for spring
The announcement came at the end of a livestream that had, until that point, been about merchandise.
Studio Trigger will produce a second cour of its current series for a spring 2027 broadcast, the studio confirmed on Friday, ending three months of speculation that the project had been shelved.
The confirmation arrived in the final ninety seconds of an hour-long merchandise livestream, delivered by producer Ayaka Mori without slides or fanfare. Twelve episodes are planned, with the same directing staff returning.
Trigger has not produced consecutive cours of the same series since 2019, a gap the studio has previously attributed to staffing rather than funding. Mori said the schedule had been built backwards from a fixed delivery date, with two episodes already storyboarded.
No broadcast partner has been named. The first cour streamed on two services in different territories, an arrangement the studio described at the time as temporary.
- Twelve episodes, spring 2027
