VIVANT Villain Council T-shirts launch with five designs

CULTURE SUPPLY is taking orders for five VIVANT Villain Council T-shirt designs, including character portraits and a halo-topped Yamamoto graphic.

The VIVANT (ヴィヴァン) spin-off Villain Council (悪役会議室) is getting an official five-design T-shirt collection from CULTURE SUPPLY, with orders opening through its ZOZOTOWN shop on 23 October. The collection is being presented as a collaboration product by MOON MADE, the company behind the clothing label. 1

The designs draw on the show’s villains Yamamoto (山本), Wanizu (ワニズ) and Gobi (ゴビ), using monochrome photography, illustration and typography rather than generic franchise branding. The result is a capsule that leans into the spin-off’s meeting-room premise while keeping the garments wearable as everyday streetwear. 12

The five designs

The VILLANT COUNCIL LOGO TEE places cropped monochrome portraits of Yamamoto, Wanizu and Gobi across the back, alongside their names. The PHOTO TEE uses different photographs on the front and back, with “VILLANT COUNCIL SECRET MEETING” framing the characters’ gathering. 1

The VILLANT STILL NOT OVER TEE features Yamamoto beneath a halo, paired with the “STILL NOT OVER.” message. The CHARACTER TEE takes a more playful route, using an illustration of Yamamoto and the phrase “YO, YAMAMOTO”. Finally, the CIRCLE LOGO TEE arranges the meeting title and character names in an emblem-like design. 1

All five shirts use CULTURE SUPPLY’s original 100 per cent US cotton body. MOON MADE says the open-end yarn gives the fabric a dry, textured feel, with a weight and finish intended to develop further as the shirt is worn. Each design is available in white or black, in M, L and XL sizes. 1

The shirts cost ¥7,000 before tax, or ¥7,700 including tax, and orders through the ZOZOTOWN shop are scheduled to remain open until noon on 9 November. Delivery is planned for late December, although the release notes that product images are examples and final details may vary. 1

Why it matters

This is a merch launch rather than a new anime announcement, but it is a neatly targeted example of how VIVANT is extending its world beyond the screen. Instead of flattening the show into a logo, the collection uses recognisable character imagery and the darkly comic “Villain Council” setup as its design language. That should make it more interesting to fans who want a reference that reads as clothing first and merchandise second. 12

Our opinion

The strongest idea here is the decision to build the range around the villains’ visual identity rather than simply printing a large VIVANT title across every shirt. The halo portrait and the meeting-room typography give the collection a clear point of view, while the five designs offer enough variety for fans who do not want the same graphic repeated in different colours. The pricing is firmly in collaboration-merch territory, so the appeal will depend on whether the fabric and print quality match the care promised in the release. Still, this is a more considered spin-off collection than a quick logo drop, and the character-led designs give it a reason to exist beyond the show’s name.
