Ace of Diamond Act II reveals new theme songs for October return
GLAY and OxT will perform the new opening and ending themes for the anime’s second cours.

Ace of Diamond Act II Second Season is teasing the next step of its baseball story with a new promotional video and two fresh theme songs. The second part of the season will bring GLAY’s NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN to the opening, while OxT performs the ending song ROAD TO BE BLUE.
The new songs and release date
The promotional video previews GLAY’s NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN. OxT, the duo formed by Masayoshi Ōishi and Tom-H@ck, performs ROAD TO BE BLUE for the ending. The second cours is scheduled to premiere on October 11 in Japan on TV Tokyo and its affiliated channels at 5:30 p.m. JST, followed by a 9:00 p.m. JST broadcast on AT-X. Netflix will stream it in Japan after broadcast.
The main cast is returning, with Daisuke Sakuma joining as Shinichiro Saotome from Inashiro High School. Hideaki Ōba directs the season at OLM, while Kenji Konuta returns to oversee the scripts and Yasukazu Shōji handles character design. Hajime Hyakkoku is again composing the music.
A strong continuation for the baseball anime
This announcement gives the second part of the season a clear musical identity while keeping its October 11 broadcast date firmly in view. The series follows Yūji Terajima’s Ace of Diamond manga, which has already inspired multiple anime seasons and remains one of the better-known baseball stories in modern anime.
Our opinion
The song pairing sounds properly big for a second-half push: GLAY brings a recognisable rock presence to the opening, while OxT’s return gives the ending a neat connection to the wider anime music scene. With the date, cast and streaming details already in place, this is a promising way to keep the season’s momentum rolling into October.
