Chiikawa x ANA goods purchase limit extended beyond launch weekend

ANA has extended the purchase limits for its first Chiikawa collaboration goods wave beyond the original three-day launch window.

Chiikawa and ANA have extended the purchase-limit period for the first wave of their official collaboration goods, keeping the restriction in place beyond the originally announced 26 October end date. The products entered advance sales on 23 October through ANA’s inflight and airport retail channels, as well as its online shops.1

The promotion marks the launch of ANA’s specially decorated Chiikawa Jet. The campaign artwork places Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi in ANA uniforms, and the first product line expands that travel theme into character goods and cabin-inspired items. The range includes plush toys, badges, towels, mascots, stickers, acrylic keyrings, clear files and a ceramic mug based on the paper cups served aboard the aircraft.1

What the new limit means

Customers can buy up to two of each individual item, while boxed products are limited to one per person. The quantity rules themselves have not changed; only the duration has been extended. The revised period now runs from 23 October until further notice, rather than ending after the initial three-day window.1

The restriction covers ANA’s A-style online shop, the A-style ANA Mall store, selected ANA FESTA gift shops, selected ANA DUTY FREE SHOP locations, ANA STORE@SKY inflight sales, international-flight duty-free sales and the pre-order service. Chiikawa Market and Chiikawa Land use different purchase-limit rules, so shoppers should check the terms for those retailers separately.1

ANA says further announcements about lifting the limit and future sales arrangements will be made through the campaign’s special feature page. That page is the official retail home for the promotion, although its current presentation may place visitors in a virtual waiting room.2

Our opinion

This is a small but sensible adjustment for a collaboration built around a very recognisable character brand. Extending the limit does not add new products or change the allocation, but it gives more shoppers a realistic chance to find the range after launch-day demand. The important detail is that the two-per-item and one-per-box rules remain unchanged, so the announcement is about keeping the guardrail in place rather than quietly tightening it.

For anyone planning a purchase, the practical takeaway is simple: the first wave is available now through the listed ANA channels, but stock and shop-specific rules may vary. The campaign’s own page remains the best place to check any later change to availability or restrictions.
