CosMeet 2026 brings anime, cosplay and free admission to Okada
CosMeet 2026 heads to Cove Manila on October 24-25 with free entry, more than 130 booths, stage events and guest cosplayer Weian Vann.
CosMeet 2026 “Shimmering Sapphire” will bring a free two-day anime and cosplay event to Cove Manila at Okada Manila on October 24-25, with more than 130 booths, stage activities, contests and a guest appearance by Chinese cosplayer Weian Vann. 1
The event is the fifth 2026 stop in Cosplay.ph’s “Prism Saga” series. Its format is built around the broad mix of interests that tends to make a convention useful for both dedicated cosplayers and casual visitors: anime, games, collectibles, virtual idols, Japanese music and creator-led stage entertainment.
The published programme includes Anisong It, Duo Dash, the GICOF Stage Presentation, a solo cosplay catwalk, Geo Hunter and the Cosplay Matsuri guest announcement. There will also be special performances, an auction and photography areas, while the venue says visitors can use free hotel shuttle services and on-site parking. 1
Weian Vann is scheduled for a stage appearance and meet-and-greet, giving the convention a named guest draw alongside the competition and performance schedule. The event artwork also highlights the “Shimmering Sapphire” theme, the October dates and Cove Manila location, making the practical details easy to check before travelling.
CosMeet’s free admission is the headline accessibility win. Unlike a ticketed convention where the cost of entry can decide whether a curious visitor attends, this event puts the barrier elsewhere: getting to Okada Manila and choosing which of the packed activities to prioritise. With 130-plus booths and several simultaneous stage attractions, early planning will matter more than a large wallet.
Our opinion
CosMeet 2026 looks most interesting as a low-commitment way into the Philippines’ convention scene. The combination of free entry, a named guest, cosplay competitions and a substantial exhibitor floor gives it a clearer reason to visit than a generic mall pop-up. The trade-off is obvious: a two-day programme with this many moving parts may feel crowded, so visitors should choose their must-see stage events before arriving rather than expecting to improvise everything on the day.
CosMeet 2026 takes place at Cove Manila, Okada Manila, on October 24-25. The organisers’ Cosplay Mania page is the place to check for final programme updates and venue information. 2
