Evangelion Christmas cakes add character badges for 2026
PRIROLL is taking orders for seven licensed Evangelion Christmas cake designs, each supplied with a matching character badge.
Evangelion fans can order a 2026 Christmas cake decorated with the series’ characters, with each cake also coming with a matching collectible badge. PRIROLL’s licensed range is now accepting orders through its official shop.1
The range covers seven designs: individual cakes featuring Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley, Mari Illustrious Makinami and Kaworu Nagisa, plus group designs pairing Shinji and Kaworu or Rei, Asuka and Mari. The official product imagery shows Rei, Asuka and Mari together on the selected cake design.1
PRIROLL describes the product as a 5-inch cake, measuring 15 centimetres across and 7 centimetres high. The design is printed using edible ink, while buyers can choose between whipped cream with strawberries and chocolate cream with strawberries. The cakes are made to order and delivered frozen by Yamato Transport.1
Each purchase includes one character badge matching the cake design. The cake costs ¥5,591 including tax, reduced from the usual ¥5,886 price, with refrigerated delivery charged separately. Customers can choose a delivery date when ordering, although PRIROLL warns that Christmas-period delivery can be affected by seasonal congestion and weather.1
The product follows a busy year for the franchise. Evangelion began with the 1995 TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion and later expanded into films, including Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. The franchise’s 30th-anniversary programme also announced a new series project in February 2026, although this cake announcement concerns licensed merchandise rather than new animation.2
Our opinion
This is a straightforward seasonal merchandise launch, but the matching badge is a useful extra rather than a token add-on: fans can choose a favourite character design and receive a keepsake tied to that purchase. The Rei, Asuka and Mari design also makes the range easier to recognise at a glance than a generic franchise-branded cake. Just remember that the product photos are illustrative, and the final decoration may differ slightly from the images shown by PRIROLL.1
Orders and the full seven-design range are available through PRIROLL’s official Evangelion Christmas shop.1
