FW GUNDAM CONVERGE #31 adds two Gundam ZERO figures
Bandai’s next FW GUNDAM CONVERGE wave adds two Gundam ZERO figures, Kimaris Vidar, two Messer variants and anniversary reissues.
The next wave of FW GUNDAM CONVERGE is bringing seven compact Gundam figures to shops in April 2027, led by two versions of Gundam ZERO from Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO. Bandai has also confirmed a first appearance for Gundam Kimaris Vidar, alongside two Messer variants and anniversary reissues of Hyaku Shiki and Wing Gundam Zero EW.12
What is in FW GUNDAM CONVERGE #31
The lineup is the 31st instalment of Bandai’s FW GUNDAM CONVERGE candy-toy range. Gundam ZERO appears twice: once in its standard form and once equipped with beam sabres. The set also adds Gundam Kimaris Vidar from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, while Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway contributes Messer Type F01 and a returning Messer Type F02.1
The final two slots are taken by Hyaku Shiki and Wing Gundam Zero EW, selected through the range’s 15th-anniversary reissue survey. That gives the wave a deliberately broad spread across Gundam eras rather than making it a single-series release. The official product imagery shows all seven designs together, making Gundam ZERO the clearest lead subject for the story’s hero.2
Price and release date
Each figure is listed at ¥650 before tax, or ¥715 including tax. Bandai says the products are scheduled for release in April 2027 through mass retailers and confectionery aisles in Japan. The official Gundam announcement also says a 10-piece box is available for pre-order through Premium Bandai, priced at ¥7,150, with shipping planned for April 2027.1
The product page lists the figures as painted models with some assembly required, aimed at customers aged 15 and over. As with any pre-release product, Bandai notes that the final items and retail timing may change, so the announcement should be treated as a planned release rather than a firm delivery guarantee.12
Our opinion
This is a particularly strong CONVERGE wave on paper because it balances genuinely new entries with recognisable anniversary picks. Gundam ZERO gives the set a timely headline, but Kimaris Vidar and the two Messer designs stop it feeling like a one-off promotion. The seven-figure spread also makes the wave more useful to collectors who follow different corners of the franchise, even if the April 2027 wait is a long one.
For now, the sensible takeaway is that this is a confirmed product announcement, not a surprise retail launch. The official images make the range easy to understand, while the price and release window give collectors enough information to decide whether to watch for pre-orders. 12
