Gundam Head 2 brings six mobile suit mascots to Gashapon
Bandai’s second Gundam Head capsule range turns six mobile suit designs into 2.5cm clip-on mascots arriving in Japan this October.
Bandai is releasing Mobile Suit Gundam Gundam Head 2 mascot accessories in Japan during the fourth week of October, turning six mobile suit heads into small clips that can mark personal belongings. The official Gashapon listing says each capsule costs ¥400, with six designs available. 1
Six Gundam designs in one capsule range
The second Gundam Head collection includes God Gundam, Master Gundam, Wing Gundam Zero, Gundam Epyon, Gundam X and Gundam DX. Each miniature is built around the recognisable head design of its mobile suit, with a loop and clip that lets it hang from a bag, case or other possession. 1
The range is part of Bandai’s broader Mejirushi Accessory format. Rather than presenting the characters as conventional figures, the series treats their heads as compact visual markers. That makes the release more useful as a small everyday accessory than as a display-only collectible, while still preserving the distinctive silhouettes that make the six machines easy to tell apart.
The official product page lists the items at roughly 2.5cm and confirms that the collection is aimed at customers aged 15 and over. The full line-up is shown in the official product photography, including the yellow-crested God Gundam and Wing Gundam Zero, the darker Master Gundam and Gundam Epyon, and the blue-and-white Gundam X and Gundam DX. 1
When the Gundam Head accessories launch
Bandai’s official Gashapon page gives the release window as the fourth week of October 2026. It also notes that timing can vary by region and shop, so the collection may not appear in every machine on exactly the same day. The price is listed as ¥400 per play, with one of the six designs dispensed at random. 1
The announcement is a straightforward merchandise launch rather than a new anime project. Still, the choice of six designs gives the collection a clear hook: it reaches across several eras and corners of the Gundam catalogue instead of focusing on a single current series. Fans can collect the complete set, while anyone after one particular mobile suit will be relying on repeat plays or trading.
Our opinion
The strongest part of Gundam Head 2 is the format. A 2.5cm mascot with a clip has an obvious use, and the six designs are varied enough to make the set feel like a proper range rather than six near-identical recolours. God Gundam and Wing Gundam Zero are the immediate attention-grabbers, but the inclusion of Master Gundam, Epyon, Gundam X and Gundam DX gives older and less routinely merchandised designs room to shine. At ¥400 a try, it is an appealing small collectible, although anyone chasing one specific head should expect the usual capsule-toy gamble.
