Gundam ZZ gets a Judau Ashta flight jacket from STRICT-G
STRICT-G and ALPHA INDUSTRIES are launching a Judau Ashta flight jacket and T-shirt based on Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, with an acrylic stand campaign.
STRICT-G is adding a new flight jacket and T-shirt inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ (機動戦士ガンダムZZ), with the new apparel built around Judau Ashta's character design. The collaboration pairs Gundam's official apparel shop with ALPHA INDUSTRIES, the military clothing brand founded in 1959.
The headline item is the STRICT-G ALPHA N-2B Heritage Fit Parka Judau Ashta Model. Bandai says the sage-green jacket carries nine patches and combines the N-2B's short pilot-style cut, split zip hood and cold-weather construction with details drawn from the Gundam world. It will cost ¥59,400 and is offered in sizes S to 2XL.
A matching Judau Ashta T-shirt is also planned. It uses an A.E.U.G design, a heavyweight 9-ounce body and a snow-wash finish, with sizes S to 2XL and a price of ¥8,580. The campaign also includes a Judau acrylic stand based on newly drawn artwork for people who buy the parka, with one stand included per jacket.
Reservations began through Premium Bandai's STRICT-G Online Store after the site recovered on October 23, according to Bandai's release. The stated reservation window runs until November 1 at 11pm Japan time, unless stock runs out earlier. General sales are scheduled for November 21 at STRICT-G locations including DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, Tokyo Skytree Town, NEOPASA Shizuoka and Taga service area, with the planned LUCUA Osaka shop due to open on November 24.
The product sits neatly inside STRICT-G's established approach: use recognisable Gundam character and faction details without turning the clothing into a costume. The parka's patches and muted military palette do most of the world-building, while the separate Judau artwork keeps the promotion visibly tied to Gundam ZZ rather than presenting it as generic outerwear.
Our opinion
This is a more coherent collaboration than a logo-only tie-in. The N-2B silhouette gives the Judau model a real piece of military clothing to work with, and the restrained colour scheme lets the patches carry the reference points. The ¥59,400 price makes it a collector purchase rather than an impulse buy, but the design at least appears to be doing more than printing a character on a standard jacket.
