Hello Kitty and Mimmy get a limited Yoshinoya bowl
Hello Kitty and Mimmy feature on a limited Yoshinoya melamine bowl sold with frozen beef in Japan through November 30, while stocks last.
Hello Kitty and her twin sister Mimmy are appearing on a limited-edition Yoshinoya bowl in the latest round of the Ouchi Yoshinoya Campaign 2026. The melamine bowl set went on sale in Japan on October 20 through Yoshinoya’s official online shop and its marketplace stores, with supplies limited while stocks last.
A Sanrio and Yoshinoya collaboration
The campaign marks the 10th year of the Hello Kitty and Yoshinoya collaboration, according to Sanrio and Yoshinoya Holdings.12 The new bowl is designed around Yoshinoya’s familiar rice-bowl shape, with Hello Kitty and Mimmy shown in matching outfits around the side. A commemorative design celebrating the collaboration’s anniversary appears on the base.
The set costs ¥4,180 including tax and delivery, and contains two frozen portions of Yoshinoya beef topping alongside the melamine bowl. The bowl measures approximately 14.3 centimetres across and 8.5 centimetres high, including its foot. It is made in Japan, but it is not suitable for microwave ovens, conventional ovens, dishwashers, direct flames or electric cooking appliances.2
How to get the bowl
The limited set is available from the Yoshinoya Official Online Shop and the company’s official stores on Rakuten, Yahoo! Shopping, d Shopping and au PAY Market. The second round of the campaign began at noon on October 20 and is scheduled to run until 10am on November 30, although the bowl can disappear earlier if stock runs out.12
The first round remains available through the same campaign. It pairs frozen Yoshinoya products with an original Shiroyuki cloth featuring Hello Kitty, Mimmy and Yoshinoya branding. Customers who buy eligible sets can also enter a second-chance promotion automatically, with 50 people due to receive an original collaboration bowl made from Arita porcelain. The prize draw is limited to deliveries within Japan.1
The official campaign artwork shows Hello Kitty and Mimmy beside the bowl, along with the frozen beef packs included in the set. It is a more substantial release than a simple character-branded dish: Yoshinoya is tying the item to its anniversary campaign, a food bundle and a limited-time lottery rather than selling the bowl on its own.
Our opinion
This is exactly the sort of small collaboration that works because the product remains recognisably Yoshinoya rather than becoming a generic character collectible. The bowl has a practical place in the campaign’s frozen-food bundle, while the matching Hello Kitty and Mimmy artwork gives it a clear reason to exist beyond a logo swap. International fans should note that the listed shops and prize draw are Japan-focused, and the limited stock means availability may change quickly.
