Hirayasumi adds five cast members, including Daisuke Namikawa and Yoko Hikasa, ahead of its January 2027 anime premiere.
Hirayasumi (ひらやすみ) has added five more cast members ahead of its January 2027 television premiere in Japan. The new names join the previously announced leads for the anime adaptation of Keigo Shinzo’s manga. 1
Five new cast members
Daisuke Namikawa will play Hideki Noguchi, while Yoko Hikasa voices Yomogi Tachibana. Yume Miyamoto joins as Akari Yokoyama, Yuichiro Umehara plays Ryo Ishikawa and Yuko Naito is the narrator. 2
The existing cast includes Yuma Uchida as Hiroto Ikuta, Mayu Takahashi as Natsumi Kobayashi and Rikako Aikawa as Hanae Wada, known as Granny. 2
Production and release
Kei Suezawa is directing, handling series composition and writing, with Naoyuki Asano on character design. Production +h. is animating the series, which is scheduled to air on NHK General Television in January 2027. 1
The anime is based on Keigo Shinzo’s manga, which follows Hiroto, a carefree 29-year-old whose relaxed outlook clashes with the worries of the people around him. The manga has been serialised in Weekly Big Comic Spirits since 2021. 2
Our opinion
Five additional cast announcements give Hirayasumi a clearer sense of its ensemble before the adaptation arrives. The production team is still keeping the January 2027 window rather than attaching a more specific premiere date, so the next meaningful update will likely be a broadcast schedule or a longer trailer.
