Kaiji gets new COSPA beer mugs, plates and clothing
COSPA is turning memorable Kaiji scenes into beer mugs, a comic plate, stickers, T-shirts and tote bags for release in January 2027.
COSPA is adding a new range of Kaiji goods built around some of the manga's most recognisable scenes, including a beer mug recreating Kaiji's famous drink and a comic plate designed to complete an illustration when food is placed on it.12
The range comes from COSPA, which describes itself as a maker and seller of official character goods and apparel. Its Kaiji catalogue lists the new items as reservation products, including the beer mug, comic plate, Tonegawa sticker sets, a chichirorin cleaner cloth, glow-in-the-dark T-shirts and Espoir and Pelican designs.2
What is in the range
The "Ice-cold beer" mug is priced at ¥3,190, while the Kaiji "Uma!" comic plate costs ¥3,300. The plate uses the series' visual language to make the food placed on it part of the joke, rather than simply printing a character on a standard dish.12
Other items include Tonegawa's "Money is heavier than life" mini sticker set at ¥770, an outdoor-ready sticker at the same price, and a ¥660 cleaner cloth based on the underground chichirorin game. Clothing includes a glow-in-the-dark Zawazawa T-shirt at ¥4,400, an Espoir T-shirt at ¥3,300, and Pelican T-shirts in two colours at ¥3,300 each.1
COSPA is also offering Zawazawa shoulder and large totes, priced at ¥2,200 and ¥1,980 respectively. The company says reservations generally run until 8 November 2026, or until available quantities sell out after that date. The products are scheduled for release in late January 2027.12
The goods lean into the specific props and catchphrases that make Kaiji easy to recognise. That gives the range a stronger identity than a generic logo collection: the mug and plate, in particular, turn a memorable scene into something usable at home. Prices and availability may vary by retailer, so prospective buyers should check COSPA's own listings before ordering.12
Our opinion
This is a particularly well-targeted Kaiji merchandise drop. The mug is the obvious centrepiece, but the plate is the smarter idea because it turns an everyday meal into a small visual gag. The range also understands that fans may want references that are recognisable without requiring a full character print on every item. COSPA's official catalogue gives the announcement a clear source and a useful place to verify reservation dates, prices and stock before the January release.
