Mofusand WOODLANDS merchandise launches on 23 October
Mofusand’s official Tokyo shop launches its Nordic forest-themed WOODLANDS merchandise range on 23 October.
Mofusand’s cats are heading into a Nordic forest for WOODLANDS, the fourth concept series at the official mofusand TOKYO shop. The new range launches on 23 October alongside a matching online release. 1
The campaign dresses the cats in fox, wolf, bear, rabbit, squirrel and hedgehog costumes, with the range spanning roughly 48 items. That includes plush toys, mascots, tote bags, drink holders, kitchen goods and small accessories built around the woodland theme. 1
The official campaign page lists a fox-costumed cat plush at ¥3,300 and a wolf version at the same price, while rabbit and squirrel versions cost ¥2,970 each. The online shop launch begins at 11am on 23 October, with the physical store reopening that day after a short refurbishment closure. 2
The announcement comes from Gray Parker Service, which says WOODLANDS is designed to refresh both the shop’s interior and its product line. The official images show the range leaning into soft woodland colours and collectible plush rather than treating the concept as a one-off graphic print. 1
Our opinion
WOODLANDS looks like a particularly coherent mofusand refresh because the concept reaches beyond a single mascot design: the shop setting, plush range and everyday accessories all point at the same little forest world. The fox plush is the obvious lead image, but the broader appeal will probably be the variety of smaller items for fans who want a less expensive way into the collection.
The timing also makes sense. A late-October launch gives the range a seasonal woodland mood without making it dependent on a limited Halloween gimmick, while the online release keeps it accessible beyond Tokyo. Just remember that this is a pre-launch announcement: the products are scheduled for 23 October, not available yet.
