Ochibure Zeus to Dorei no Ko (落ちぶれゼウスと奴隷の子), also known as Fallen Zeus and the Slave Boy, will move from Asahi Shimbun Publications' Nemuki+ magazine to Ichijinsha's Zero-Sum Online in spring 2027. The manga's digital sales will stop on 31 October, although readers will keep access to volumes they have already bought. 12

A new home for the manga

Ichijinsha announced the move in a publisher press release, saying the series will resume on Zero-Sum Online from the first chapter. The company also plans to publish future collected volumes and e-books. 1

The move follows the end of the manga's first part, which concluded with the Egypt Arc in December 2025. Creator Ei Ohitsuji previously said the hiatus would allow time to review the production setup and recover their health. 2

Revisions are planned

Ohitsuji said the first two chapters will change significantly when the manga returns, with revisions and corrections added to the new version. The creator also said the upcoming sixth volume will connect smoothly with the fifth volume, despite the publisher change. 2

Ichijinsha's announcement describes the story as a modern fantasy set in ancient Greece. It follows Chet, a former slave whose fate changes when Hades reveals that the soul of Zeus is sealed inside him. The series has sold more than 310,000 copies, according to the publisher. 1

Our opinion

A publisher move is rarely just a change of logo, and this one has a meaningful reader-facing consequence: the opening chapters are being revised rather than simply reposted. The 31 October digital-sales deadline also gives existing readers a clear date to check their libraries, while the spring 2027 relaunch offers newcomers a cleaner entry point. The important detail to watch is how Zero-Sum Online presents the revised opening once the new run begins.

What happens next

The series is scheduled to return on Zero-Sum Online in spring 2027. Ichijinsha has not announced a more precise start date, so readers should treat the season as the current timetable rather than a confirmed launch day. 12
