Ojamajo Doremi gets new Japanese-style merchandise on 16 October
Animate is releasing newly drawn Japanese-style Ojamajo Doremi goods on 16 October, alongside a limited purchase-gift fair at selected shops.
Ojamajo Doremi (おジャ魔女どれみ) is getting a fresh wave of Japanese-style merchandise on 16 October, with Animate also planning a purchase-gift fair for fans of the long-running magical-girl series. 1
What is being released
Animate's new "Wa Modern" range uses newly drawn artwork of Doremi, Hazuki, Aiko, Onpu, Momoko and Hana in traditional-style outfits. The line-up includes acrylic stands, a can-badge collection, clear-card packs, an acrylic sliding mirror and a hand towel. 1
The acrylic stands cost ¥1,760 each, while the can badges cost ¥550 per pack or ¥3,300 for a six-pack box. Clear cards cost ¥770 for a two-card pack or ¥4,620 for a six-pack box. The mirror is ¥1,078 and the hand towel is ¥1,100, with prices including tax. 1
Animate's purchase-gift fair
The products go on sale from 16 October 2026, with the associated Animate fair running at selected Japanese shops until 1 November. Customers spending ¥1,100 on eligible Ojamajo Doremi character goods receive one of six original illustration cards, selected at random. 1
The participating shops include Animate's Ikebukuro flagship, Sapporo, Shibuya, Nagoya, Akihabara, Tennoji, Sannomiya, Fukuoka Parco, Osaka Nipponbashi, Yokohama Vivre, Umeda and Shinjuku. Animate's online shop is also taking advance reservations for the range. 2
The announcement comes through an Animate Holdings press release, which credits Toei Animation for the property and links readers to the official Animate listings. 3
Our opinion
This is a nicely focused nostalgia push rather than a token logo slapped on generic stationery. The traditional styling gives the range a clear visual hook, while the six-card purchase bonus is likely to make the fair more appealing to collectors who already have a favourite apprentice witch. The randomised bonus is the familiar catch, though, so anyone chasing a complete set should expect duplicates or a trade with fellow fans.
The merchandise is a Japanese retail release, and the fair's shop list means availability will depend on location. For international fans, the Animate online listings are the most useful place to check whether individual items can be reserved or shipped to their region.
