Reincarnated as a Sword II enters the Seedrun arc with new PV and cast

Reincarnated as a Sword II enters its Seedrun arc with a new key visual, third PV, five cast announcements and an ABEMA special.

Official Reincarnated as a Sword II key visual showing Fran, Teacher and the Seedrun arc cast

Reincarnated as a Sword II (転生したら剣でしたII) is moving into its Seedrun arc, with the official anime site publishing a second key visual, a third promotional video and a new introduction to the story.

The production-side announcement also confirms that the arc begins with episode 6. Fran and Teacher arrive in the maritime nation of Seedrun after an unexpected change to their journey, and become caught up in a succession struggle involving Prince Fult, Princess Satya and the legendary God Sword. The official synopsis frames the new chapter as a larger political conflict than the earlier Floating Island storyline, with the pair attempting to protect the two royals while confronting a tyrant and the forces surrounding them.

The visual puts Fran at the centre, surrounded by the characters involved in the new storyline, while the accompanying PV previews the Seedrun setting and its darker conflict. The key art is the official second visual released by the production site; it is used here as the article hero. The PV is also published on the official site through the NBCUniversal Anime/Music YouTube channel.

The same update confirms a special ABEMA programme on 8 November at 7:30 p.m. JST, featuring Shinnosuke Miki, the voice of Teacher, and Ai Kakuma, the voice of Fran. ABEMA will follow the programme with free catch-up broadcasts of episodes 1 to 5 and a free broadcast of episode 6. Those streams are specific to the announced ABEMA schedule, so they should not be read as a worldwide availability announcement.

The five newly highlighted Seedrun characters are Fult, voiced by Satsuki Kokubu; Satya, voiced by Yurie Kozakai; Miriam, voiced by Hazuki Ogino; Sellimea, voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro; and Valuza, voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi. Their arrival gives the sixth episode a clear handover point: the series is not merely changing scenery, but introducing the political cast that will drive the next part of Fran and Teacher's journey.

Our opinion

This is the sort of anime update that earns a news story because it adds several concrete pieces at once: a new visual, a trailer, a named story arc, five cast announcements and a dated promotional broadcast. More importantly, the official synopsis gives viewers a useful sense of what changes in Seedrun without pretending that the announcement has revealed the arc's outcome. The cleanest takeaway is that episode 6 starts a more politically charged chapter, with the production committee now giving fans enough material to see who is involved and where Fran and Teacher are heading.
