Romelia War Chronicle anime adds 14 cast members ahead of October debut

Romelia War Chronicle has expanded its cast ahead of its October premiere, adding 14 performers to the fantasy anime’s supporting line-up.

The series will run for two cours on Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV and KBS Kyoto. Crunchyroll will stream the show as it airs, giving international viewers a confirmed route to follow the adaptation.

What has been announced

The new cast includes Hiromichi Tezuka as Hans, Tomohiro Yamaguchi as Glein, Ryūichi Hirose as Jinni, Kenta Hosoda as Tarth, Tasuku Kaito as Say, Rikuya Yasuda as Zeze, Hiroki Matsukawa as Bray, Taiki Yamashita as Ben, Sōhei Horikane as Gatt, Naoki Sakurai as Rhett, Mizuki Ishii as Shuro, Hayato Kimura as Merrill, Shuntaro Hara as Borel and Hiromu Mineta as Miitya.

They join Yuna Nemoto as Romelia von Graham, Jin Ogasawara as Al, Tomohiro Ōno as Ray, Yūya Hirose as Henri Lleus Lionel, Sayaka Senbongi as Elizabeth, Mariya Ise as Ekaterina, Asaka as Ryoki, Shōya Chiba as Gran, Gakuto Kajiwara as Ragn, Shun Horie as Kyle and Ryūnosuke Watanuki as Otto.

A two-cour fantasy campaign

Hiroshi Shirai directs at Atra, with Takahiro Hirata as assistant director. Aya Satsuki handles series composition and screenplay, while Yoshiko Saitō and Yūta Ōtaka provide character designs. KOHTA YAMAMOTO composes the music.

The anime debuts in October on Japanese television and runs for two cours. Exact Crunchyroll access can still depend on local licensing, even though the simulcast has been announced.

Our opinion

A fourteen-person cast expansion is a healthy sign for a fantasy series whose world needs more than its central party. The two-cour order gives Romelia War Chronicle room to build that world rather than sprint through it.

The confirmed Crunchyroll stream is the real win for international fans. Add the experienced music and production staff to the October date, and this is one fantasy newcomer worth keeping on the autumn calendar.
