Spice and Wolf season 2 teaser adds Romi Park as Ave Bolan
The official site has released the first teaser trailer for Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf season 2 and confirmed Romi Park as Ave Bolan, ahead of the 2027 broadcast.

Holo and Lawrence are back on the road, and this time there is something to watch. The official site for Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf has published the first teaser trailer for the show's second season, alongside the news that Romi Park will voice Ave Bolan. Season 2 is set to air in 2027.
A new face joins the second season
The cast announcement is the more concrete of the two updates. Ave Bolan joins a second season that was confirmed for a 2027 broadcast on 31 August, when the official site posted a second teaser visual. Both the trailer and the casting notice are dated 3 October on the official site, and the trailer is the first moving footage released for the new season.
The road north, again
This is the 2024 remake of Spice and Wolf, based on Isuna Hasekura's light novels, and its first season aired from April 2024 on TV Tokyo. The returning production team was announced with the second teaser visual: Takeo Takahashi is chief director, Nobuyoshi Nagayama and Takahiro Majima direct at Passione, Koji Haneda handles character design alongside Rina Sugimoto, and Kevin Penkin returns to compose the music.
Why the show keeps coming back
The 2024 version was a full restart rather than a sequel, re-adapting the novels with their merchant economics intact. It travelled well enough to earn a second season announced less than six months after the first finished, and the appeal has not changed: this is a road story where the tension comes from trade, trust and the price of things rather than monsters. A first trailer for a 2027 season is an early look, but it is also a signal that the production is far enough along to show footage rather than another still.
Our opinion
The interesting detail is the pacing. Rather than one big reveal, the official site has been drip-feeding season 2 for months: a teaser visual in November 2025, a second visual with the 2027 window in August, and now a first trailer and a fresh cast member. That is a confident way to run a campaign, and it suggests a production that is comfortable rather than scrambling. For anyone who skipped the 2024 remake on the assumption that a 2008 series had already said everything, the trailer is a fair reason to reconsider. This is the version with the runtime to tell the whole story.
