A Wild Last Boss Appeared! Season 2 sets 26 September early streaming debut
The fantasy anime’s second season adds new cast members, previews its ending theme and begins early streaming in Japan on 26 September.

A Wild Last Boss Appeared! is bringing its second season forward with a new promotional video, fresh cast announcements and an early streaming date in Japan. The fantasy anime will arrive on ABEMA and U-NEXT before its television broadcast begins in October.
The new trailer also previews the ending theme, giving the returning series a useful burst of momentum before Lufas Mafahl is back in the sort of trouble that generally requires an army, a prophecy and at least one suspiciously dramatic transformation.
What's actually going on
Season 2 will begin streaming early on ABEMA and U-NEXT on 26 September 2026 at 10:30 p.m. Japanese time. Its television broadcast starts on Tokyo MX on 3 October at the same time, followed by BS Asahi and Kansai TV from 4 October.
The new cast includes Akio Ōtsuka as Leon, Atsushi Miyauchi as Sagittarius and Shūhei Sakaguchi as Melcrius. Previously announced additions include Ryōta Suzuki as Karkinos, Chiaki Takahashi as Scorpius, Takahiro Sakurai as Castor, Shinpachi Tsuji as Mizar, Momoko Seto as Mass-Produced Libra, Yūichirō Umehara as Terra and M.A.O as Luna.
Yūya Horiuchi returns to direct at Wao World, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu again overseeing the scripts. Maiko Ebisawa returns as character designer, joined by Akiko Satō and several returning episode chief animation directors. Suspended 4th performs the opening theme “Melodic Impact”, while Chakura performs the ending theme “Yurete Skirt”.
The announcement confirms Japanese streaming and broadcast times only. No UK, US or wider international streaming details were included in the sources checked, so overseas viewers should not assume that the ABEMA or U-NEXT launch applies to their territory.
Why you should care
A second season is not news on its own when it was already known, but a concrete early-streaming date and a new cast roster make this a meaningful update. It gives fans a firm Japanese timetable and shows that the production is moving from broad confirmation into the practical business of launching episodes.
Our opinion
The early streaming date is the useful bit here. The series already has its audience, and a firm 26 September appointment gives that audience something better than another vague “coming soon”. International viewers still need to wait for regional confirmation, but the sequel is at least marching towards the screen with a proper schedule rather than waving from the distant horizon.
