Yumene Connect TV anime adaptation announced with cast, staff and teaser PV

Shochiku has announced a television anime adaptation of Yumene Connect, revealing its first teaser visual, PV, cast and production staff.

Yumene Connect (ゆめねこねくと) is getting a television anime from Shochiku, with the official website confirming the adaptation, its first teaser visual, a promotional video, cast and production staff. The series is based on Kou Sawada's manga, which runs in Weekly Shonen Magazine. 12

A new anime for Yumene Connect

The story follows Yuhi Takamiya, a lonely high-school student who misses his first day because of illness. His routine changes when Nano, an alien from Planet Pokotsun, arrives with strange products designed to fulfil wishes. The official site presents the series as a chaotic science-fiction comedy built around Yuhi's sudden encounter with Nano. 1

Shochiku confirms Yusuke Kobayashi as Yuhi and Yu Shinohara as Nano. Sota Yokote directs, Yoshihiro Watanabe handles character design, and Jūemon Ichikawa is responsible for series composition and the screenplay. Soshi Matsumura is composing the music, Lantis is handling music production, and STUDIO MASSKET is producing the animation. 12

The announcement includes the first teaser PV, which introduces the show's bright visual identity and its deliberately provocative comedy. The official website does not give a broadcast date, broadcaster or streaming service, so none has been inferred here. 1

What to expect

The premise gives Yumene Connect a clear comic engine: an isolated student is paired with an extraterrestrial visitor who sells extraordinary products. That setup leaves plenty of room for escalating wish-fulfilment chaos, while the teaser establishes a colourful tone rather than a restrained school drama. 1

The official site also lists the manga's tenth volume for release on October 16. For now, the anime remains an announcement without a confirmed broadcast window, so the teaser and the newly named cast and staff are the key details to watch. 1

Our opinion

The announcement has a stronger identity than a routine adaptation reveal. Nano's design, the loud teaser presentation and the unusual premise make Yumene Connect immediately recognisable, while the named staff gives the project a concrete production shape. The lack of a broadcast date means there is no reason to speculate about when it will air, but this is enough material to put the adaptation on the watchlist and wait for a longer trailer.
