Angelic Agency demo brings supernatural mystery to Steam

YOKUNIKU's supernatural investigation game now has a free Steam demo, but its full release date remains unconfirmed.

Angelic Agency: Soul Salvation Unit is now offering a free demo on Steam, giving players an early look at a supernatural mystery adventure built around two investigators and the memories of the dead.1

The game comes from Japanese indie developer YOKUNIKU. Its official Steam description places players in the role of Tsujitsuma, an officer of the Angelic Agency, an organisation dealing with paranormal incidents known as Ghosturbance Cases.1 The full game does not yet have a confirmed release date.

How the mystery works

The adventure is structured around three phases: conversation, deduction and salvation. Players gather testimony and information, inspect scenes, collect evidence and then decide how to interpret what they have found. The Steam page describes a murder investigation whose solution is tied to memories, with choices leading to multiple possible endings.1

The demo is a useful signal of the game's tone rather than a promise of a launch window. Its supernatural investigation setup may recall familiar anime and television mysteries, but the playable hook is the split between listening to stories, examining evidence and delivering a judgement. That gives the project a clearer identity than a simple haunted-house visual novel.

CBR reports that the demo arrived alongside a trailer and new screenshots, while the Steam listing confirms that the demo is available now.2 Readers interested in trying it can find the demo through the official Steam page.

Our opinion

A free demo is the right way to introduce a mystery game whose appeal depends on its atmosphere and investigative rhythm. Angelic Agency has enough structure in its premise to stand apart from a generic paranormal story, and the memory-based cases could give its choices real weight. The missing release date means this is an early look, not a launch announcement, but the demo makes the game one to watch for supernatural mystery fans.
