Armoured Trooper VOTOMS: Gray Witch (装甲騎兵ボトムズ 灰色の魔女) has been given a remarkably coherent piece of merchandise: a mechanical watch modelled on the Scope Dog, the armoured trooper at the centre of the series. The dial, lettering and turret-inspired details point back to the machine instead of simply applying a logo to a generic watch.12
The watch is now available through PREMICO, with production limited to 2,000 pieces.12
The details
The watch uses a moss-green dial inspired by the Scope Dog's armour. Its central design echoes the machine's three-lens turret, while the red lens carries the Gilgamesh Army mark. The hour markers use Gilgamesh lettering, and a sax-blue seconds hand references Ash, the soldier known as the Witch in the upcoming story.2
It has a stainless-steel case and bracelet, a self-winding Miyota movement with manual winding, a claimed power reserve of around 42 hours and five-atmosphere water resistance. The case measures approximately 38mm by 44.8mm and is 11.8mm thick. PREMICO lists the price at ¥59,800 before tax, or ¥65,780 including tax, and says orders will ship from mid-January 2027.12
The product is tied to Armoured Trooper VOTOMS: Gray Witch, the new entry in the long-running franchise. The film is scheduled to open in Japan on 20 November, with Mamoru Oshii directing the new story according to the report. That makes the watch a campaign product for a specific upcoming release rather than a general reissue of older VOTOMS merchandise.2
The price and limited run put it firmly in collector territory, but the design gives the item a clear identity beyond scarcity. The main caveat is that PREMICO says the product photographs are still development images, so final details may differ slightly.
