BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora gets a new trailer
BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora is now in Japanese cinemas, with a new official trailer previewing the film and its 2027 anime continuation.
BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora is now in Japanese cinemas, and the film’s second promotional video has arrived alongside its theatrical release. The new PV previews the fully new animated feature and its story about Ave Mujica’s masked performance world. 1
A new Ave Mujica story
The film follows Ave Mujica in a completely new animated story that continues the band’s narrative on the big screen. Oricon reports that the movie opened nationwide in Japan on 16 October, with the second PV released to mark the occasion. 1
The trailer uses the insert song “A Song of Romance” and includes new cuts from the film. That gives fans a closer look at the feature’s visual direction while also positioning it as a bridge to the next stage of the franchise: a new anime series is scheduled to begin in January 2027. 1
The official BanG Dream! trailer presents the film through a character-focused visual style, with Ave Mujica’s masked identity and dramatic performance aesthetic remaining central to the promotion. The PV is available through the franchise’s official YouTube channel. 2
What happens next
The Japanese theatrical release is the immediate milestone, but the announcement also points beyond the film. The planned 2027 anime series means prima aurora is not being presented as an isolated side story; it is part of a continuing Ave Mujica storyline that will carry into television next year. 1
For viewers following the franchise, the second PV is therefore useful both as a film preview and as a signpost for the next chapter. It introduces new animation and music without giving away the full shape of the story, while the cinema release makes the project’s next phase concrete.
Our opinion
A theatrical launch paired with a fresh PV is a sensible way to frame prima aurora: the trailer sells the film’s new animation, while the January 2027 series date gives fans a reason to treat it as the start of a longer Ave Mujica arc. The key detail is not simply that another trailer exists, but that the movie now sits between a Japanese cinema release and a confirmed television continuation. 12
