Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has released a new trailer ahead of its final two episodes, which are scheduled to air on 19 and 26 October. The preview looks back at the long road to Ichigo Kurosaki’s final confrontation with Yhwach before the anime reaches the end of its concluding arc. 1

The trailer arrives as the fourth and final cour, The Calamity, approaches its finish. The anime’s last two episodes were previously delayed to improve their quality, making the final run a particularly important moment for fans who have followed the adaptation since its return in 2022. 12

The final two episodes are close

Episode 49 is scheduled for 19 October, followed by episode 50 and the series finale on 26 October. A special marathon screening and talk event is also planned for 25 October at United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba in Japan, with guests including Ichigo voice actor Masakazu Morita, Uryu voice actor Noriaki Sugiyama, creator Tite Kubo and members of the production team. 1

The new PV spends its opening section revisiting the conflict between the Soul Reapers and the Quincies. It then points towards the final battle between Ichigo and Yhwach, positioning the last two episodes as the payoff to the Thousand-Year Blood War storyline rather than another mid-season tease. 1

VIZ Media’s official trailer channel provides the clearest English-language promotional route for the final part. The trailer’s thumbnail identifies the series and The Calamity, while its description confirms the international VIZ connection. 2

What comes next

Bleach creator Tite Kubo’s final manga arc is being completed in animated form, with the production having added original material throughout the returning series. That gives these last episodes a little more uncertainty than a scene-for-scene adaptation: the destination is known, but the route and the final presentation still belong to the anime. 1

Our opinion

A final trailer arriving just before the last two episodes is exactly the right kind of promotion for this stage of Bleach. It reminds viewers where the conflict began without pretending that another enormous reveal is needed. The real test is whether the finale gives the adaptation enough room to land its character moments after years of escalation, rather than rushing from battle to battle simply because the broadcast countdown has started.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War now has a clear finish line: episode 49 on 19 October and episode 50 on 26 October. For anyone who has stayed with the revival, the next fortnight is less about wondering whether the story will continue and more about seeing how the anime chooses to close it. 12
