Blue Box Season 2 reveals its creditless opening and ending
The second season of Blue Box is on air in Japan, and TMS has posted non-credit cuts of both its themes: aiko's opening and Elsewhere Kikou's ending.

Blue Box has returned for a second season, and its production has put the music up front. TMS has published the non-credit versions of both the opening and the ending, giving the two themes a clean run without the credit roll laid over the top.
aiko returns to lead the opening
The opening theme is “Anata no Hana no Iro” by aiko, and the ending is “blue in” by Elsewhere Kikou. Both songs were named in August alongside the season's main promotional video, and the non-credit cuts have arrived with the show now on air.
A Sunday-night return on TBS
Season 2 began on 4 October 2026, airing on TBS and its network of affiliate stations across Japan. The anime adapts Kouji Miura's manga, which ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from April 2021 to July 2026.
The first season aired between October 2024 and March 2025 and was streamed worldwide, going on to take Best Romance at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025. The story follows Taiki Inomata, a badminton player, and Chinatsu Kano, the basketball player he trains alongside in the school gym each morning.
Our opinion
The non-credit cut has become the quiet victory lap of the anime calendar, and Blue Box has earned its one. The interesting part is the pairing rather than either song alone: aiko's opening is the warm, familiar return, while the sign-off goes to a newer act, and that split is exactly the register the show trades in. A series built on the distance between two people who share a gym and still miss each other needs the opening and the ending to do the emotional work the episode cannot state out loud, so publishing both back to back with the credits stripped is a small statement about what the production thinks is worth looking at.
