Chiikawa is getting a new Bandai Candy snack collectible in Japan: a gummy product that includes one of 13 glittering key-shaped charms and three character-shaped sweets.12

What is in the box

The Chiikawa Miracle Ribbon Charm Gummy includes one charm from a 13-design line-up. The official product page shows designs inspired by Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi, with ribbon, heart and key motifs built into the translucent accessories.2

The accompanying gummies come in three shapes based on the same characters and are orange-flavoured. Bandai says the charms can be attached to a bag or pouch, or displayed as a collection.2

The product is priced at 360 yen before tax, or 396 yen including tax. It is scheduled to launch in February 2027 at confectionery sections in supermarkets and other mass retailers across Japan, although shop-by-shop availability may vary.2

Anime! Anime! reports that the product will be sold as a piece of character merchandise tied to Nagano’s Chiikawa manga and its wider anime and collaboration programme.1

Our opinion

This is a small but well-targeted Chiikawa release: the charm is the collectible, while the gummy gives the blind-box format an immediate snack hook. The 13-design line-up should make repeat purchases tempting, although buyers will need to accept that each pack contains only one random charm. The February release also gives fans a clear reason to watch Japanese confectionery aisles early next year.
