Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle is finally putting a date on its second cour, and the new promotional video is bringing theme-song details along for the ride. The anime will return on 13 October, giving its emotionally combustible school drama another go at shaking up Fukui.

Anime News Network reports that Kadokawa confirmed the date, the new PV and the artists behind both theme songs. There is even a recap episode first, because apparently thirteen episodes of social awkwardness were not enough preparation.

What's actually going on

The second cour begins on 13 October at 11 p.m. on AT-X, followed later that evening by Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, Fukui Broadcasting and TV Aichi. An “episode 13.5” recap will air the week before, covering the story so far.

Cider Girl performs the opening theme, “Saku” (To Bloom), while aruma handles the ending theme, “Doko ni mo Ikenai Mama” (While I Can’t Go Anywhere). The first cour debuted in October 2025, although production delays pushed several episodes away from their original schedule before Episodes 11–13 finally arrived in spring.

Yūji Tokuno directs at feel, with Naruhisa Arakawa supervising and co-writing the series scripts alongside original author Hiromu. Sumie Kinoshita designs the characters and Yoshiaki Fujisawa composes the music. The story follows high-achieving student Chitose Saku as he is asked to convince a withdrawn classmate to return to school.

Why you should care

A second cour is not the flashiest anime announcement, but this one matters because the production now has a firm broadcast plan rather than another vague “coming soon” promise. The recap should also make the return less punishing for anyone whose memory of the first cour has been diluted by an entire year of other seasonal anime.

The PV’s biggest practical win is clarity: viewers know when the story resumes, which broadcasters are carrying it and what musical identity the new episodes are taking. International streaming details were not confirmed in the announcement, so overseas viewers should not mistake the Japanese broadcast date for a universal release.

Our opinion

This is a sensible return rather than a desperate relaunch. Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle has a clear date, a proper recap and a new PV that gives the second cour something to announce beyond “the vibes continue”. Keep it on the autumn watchlist, but international viewers should wait for a confirmed streaming listing before setting an alarm.
