Code Geass: Lost Stories Game to End Service on 7 December

The official Code Geass: Lost Stories website has announced that the smartphone and PC game will end service on 7 December 2026 at 3:00pm JST. The notice says the game has been running since May 2022.

Purchases of the in-game currency Sakuradite, Lost Stories Pass and Starter Pack stopped on 7 October at 5:00pm JST, according to the service-close notice. Players can continue to use the game until the shutdown time.

What happens to unused Sakuradite

The official notice says unused paid Sakuradite will be eligible for refunds after service ends. The refund application window is scheduled to run from 7 December 2026 at 5:00pm JST until 7 February 2027 at 3:00pm JST, with further details promised in-game and through the official X account.

Code Geass: Lost Stories launched in Japan on smartphones and PC through DMM Game Player in May 2022. It is a free-to-play role-playing game with optional in-game purchases, built around an original protagonist within the Code Geass universe.

Our opinion

A shutdown after more than four years is a rough result for a story-driven live-service game, particularly one built around a major anime property. The refund timetable is at least clear, but players who still have progress or paid currency should treat the official notice as the place to check the final deadlines rather than relying on old social posts.

For fans, the end of service also underlines the awkward shelf life of mobile adaptations: a sizeable chunk of Code Geass history is tied to a game that will no longer be playable after December. The official refund guidance is useful, but it cannot replace a long-term archive for the story and original material Lost Stories brought to the franchise.
