The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom anime reveals Rina visual
The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom adds Miyu Fujidera as Rina, unveils a new visual and keeps its January 2027 Crunchyroll plans on track.
The upcoming The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom: A Pawsitively Fantastic Adventure has revealed a new visual featuring Asley, Pochi and Rina, while Miyu Fujidera has been confirmed as Rina’s voice. The anime remains scheduled to premiere in January 2027, with Crunchyroll handling international streaming. 12
The new visual and cast update
The latest key visual places the three characters in front of the Incantation Institute, giving the fantasy setting a clearer identity ahead of the broadcast. Fujidera joins the previously announced cast, which includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Asley and Yoko Hikasa as Pochi. 1
The announcement also includes celebratory illustrations from original character designer Kurihito Muto and manga adaptation artist Fuh Araki. The production credits list Keisuke Onishi as director, Kurasumi Sunayama on series composition and scripts, Yumiko Mizuno as character designer, and Studio Elle as the animation studio. 1
What is confirmed
The series is based on Hifumi’s light novel, published by Earth Star Entertainment, and follows Asley, an immortal sorcerer who has spent 5,000 years studying magic. He travels with Pochi, an 800-year-old dog, after setting out to see more of the world. 1
The new announcement does not provide an exact premiere date or a Japanese broadcaster. It confirms the January 2027 window and Crunchyroll’s international streaming plans, but availability can still vary by territory. 12
Our opinion
This is a useful production update rather than a major release-date reveal. Rina’s casting adds another named member to the ensemble, while the visual makes the magical-university setting easier to place. With the premiere still several months away, the next meaningful milestone will be a precise date, broadcaster details or a fuller trailer showing the cast in motion.
