The manga adaptation of Even a Replica Can Fall in Love is coming to an end. Kadokawa has listed the seventh volume as the final one, with the last book scheduled to ship on 27 October.
Momose Handa launched the manga in April 2023 and it has run in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh ever since, with six collected volumes so far. The series adapts Harunadon's light novel and carries character designs by raemz.
What the series is about
Sunao Aikawa sends her replica, Nao, to school in her place whenever she wants to avoid something. Nao is not a copy in any simple sense: her emotions and experiences are entirely her own, and Sunao only learns about them second-hand. The arrangement holds until Nao falls for their classmate Shuya Sanada and starts to understand how lonely being a stand-in really is.
The story has already made the jump to animation. Studio Voil adapted it into a spring 2026 television anime, which Crunchyroll streams, and the manga has been released in English in print and digital by Yen Press and BookWalker.
Our opinion
Replica stories tend to stop at the clever premise, but this one grants its stand-in a genuinely separate inner life and then lets her want something of her own, which is why the finale reads as a conclusion rather than a cancellation. Seven volumes is a tidy length: long enough to make Nao and Sunao distinct people, short enough that the last book will not have to sprint to the finish.
