Mizuki Hoshino’s Fukakōryoku no I Love You manga is going on hiatus because the creator is prioritising her health. Hoshino announced the news on 4 September, and Anime News Network reports that no restart date has been given.
The manga runs in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine. The series follows high-school student Mei Hoshikawa and the complicated feelings around her relationship with Eita Sakurai, a boy who has been close to her since childhood.
A pause, not a cancellation
Hoshino’s announcement asks readers to wait while she recovers. It does not announce a cancellation or a final chapter, and there is currently no confirmed timetable for the manga’s return.

Our opinion
