Haikyu!! takes Nekoma to NAMJATOWN for a winter festival
New artwork of the Nekoma squad with cats leads a collaboration that runs at the Ikebukuro indoor park from 6 November 2026 to 11 January 2027.
Haikyu!! is sending Nekoma High to a theme park. The anime's website said on 30 September that “Haikyu!! in NAMJATOWN: Nekoma Festival” will run at NAMJATOWN in Ikebukuro from 6 November 2026 to 11 January 2027.
The event is built around new artwork in which the Nekoma players spend time with cats, a nod to the Tokyo school that spends the series as Karasuno's mirror image and rival. Details of the food, merchandise and any admission arrangements are still to be announced, and the notice asks fans to look out for more.
Where and when
NAMJATOWN sits on the second floor of the World Import Mart building at Sunshine City in Higashi-Ikebukuro, Tokyo, an indoor park operated by Bandai Namco Amusement. The Nekoma Festival occupies it from 6 November 2026 until 11 January 2027, which is a public holiday in Japan, giving the collaboration just over two months and a final long weekend.
A run of collaborations
Haruichi Furudate's volleyball manga has become a fixture of tie-in campaigns since the compilation films and the Haikyu!! VS Little Giant project. Earlier this year the same website announced a national touring pop-up store that will visit all 47 prefectures, plus collaborations with chains and confectionery brands, so the Nekoma Festival arrives in an already crowded calendar of Haikyu!! events.
Our opinion
Nekoma have spent most of the series as the team that loses well, and a cat-filled solo event in a slightly silly indoor park is a warmer frame for them than another rivalry poster. The interesting thing to watch is the artwork: if it commits to the premise rather than draping the cast over a menu, it will end up being the most distinctive Nekoma image the franchise has produced since Haikyu!! VS Little Giant was announced.
