Hello Kitty School Girl Swing charms launch in late October

Bandai’s five-piece Hello Kitty capsule collection arrives in late October with charms inspired by different school-uniform styles.

Hello Kitty School Girl Swing charm in a sailor-style school uniform

Bandai will release the Hello Kitty School Girl Swing capsule collection in Japan during the fifth week of October, with five charms showing Hello Kitty in different school-uniform styles. 1

The collection is part of Bandai’s Gashapon range and will cost ¥300 per turn, including tax. The official product page lists five designs: Sukeban, Black Gal, Princess Gal, serious student and Korean-style uniforms. 1

Five school-uniform designs

The charms turn Hello Kitty into a small snapshot of different fashion eras and subcultures. The Sukeban design uses a sailor-style uniform, while the Black Gal and Princess Gal versions push the collection towards more overtly styled looks. The remaining serious-student and Korean-style designs round out the five-piece line-up. 2

Bandai’s official product page shows the charms as small dangling figures with ball chains, designed to be used as accessories rather than as standalone figures. The product photography also makes the differences between the five costumes easy to spot, with each version using a distinct colour arrangement and outfit silhouette. 1

The collection is scheduled to launch from the fifth week of October 2026. Bandai notes that release timing may vary by region and shop, and says additional shipments are planned after the initial release. That means availability may arrive in waves rather than as one fixed nationwide drop. 1

The product is aimed at customers aged 15 and over. As with other Gashapon releases, the ¥300 price applies to one turn, so collecting all five designs will require multiple purchases and does not guarantee a complete set on the first attempt. 1

Anime! Anime! reports that the capsule line is based around Hello Kitty wearing uniforms from different periods and styles. Its report also confirms the five designs and the late-October release window. 2

What to expect

This is a compact character-goods release rather than a new anime announcement, but the line-up has a clear hook: each capsule gives Hello Kitty a different visual identity while keeping the same accessory format. The five designs also make the range easy to collect as a complete themed set, provided the later shipments reach the shops carrying it. 1

Our opinion

The strongest part of this release is the variety within a very simple format. Bandai is not just recolouring one uniform five times; it is using recognisable school-fashion archetypes to give each charm a distinct personality. The region-by-region availability warning is worth taking seriously, though, because collectors may need to wait for later shipments rather than assume every design will appear at launch.
