Infinite Justice Gundam figure launches in January 2027
The new METAL ROBOT SPIRITS figure adds a sculpted head, Hayato no Tate shield and a January 2027 release date.
The Infinite Justice Gundam is returning as a new METAL ROBOT SPIRITS figure tied to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO, with Bandai’s Tamashii Web listing the release for January 2027. The general-retail figure is priced at ¥19,800 including tax, with pre-orders scheduled to open on 2 November 2026 in Japan.12
The official product page shows the mobile suit in its distinctive pink, white and dark trim, with the film’s design reproduced through new paintwork and markings. The head has also been newly sculpted for its SEED FREEDOM ZERO appearance, giving this version a clear identity beyond a simple recolour of the existing Infinite Justice design.1
The most obvious addition is the new Hayato no Tate shield. Tamashii Web says the shield includes a built-in wing-deployment mechanism and can be displayed with its beam-shield effects. The box also includes the Fatum-01 backpack, its beam effects, a high-energy beam rifle, a beam-carry shield, beam-saber parts, the Grapple Stinger, interchangeable hands, a dedicated stand and the other equipment needed for display poses.1
The figure stands at approximately 140mm and uses ABS, PVC and die-cast materials. Tamashii Web lists the product as a general-retail release rather than a limited web exclusive, although availability and timing can vary by sales region. Its product page currently identifies Japan, Asia, the USA, EMEA and LATAM as sales areas, with local purchase information to be confirmed for each market.1
The wider film connection is significant. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO is scheduled for Japanese theatrical release on 15 January 2027, making this figure an early piece of merchandise for the next phase of the SEED franchise.2 The timing also means collectors will have to wait until the new year rather than receiving the figure alongside the pre-order window.
Our opinion
This is a more substantial release than a cosmetic variant. The newly sculpted head and Hayato no Tate give the figure a distinct visual hook, while the combination of Fatum-01, beam effects and the expanded shield equipment should make it especially flexible for display. The important caveat is practical: the headline price and January 2027 date are clear, but regional stock and ordering arrangements still need to be checked locally rather than assumed from the Japanese listing.
