Kagurabachi anime sets two-episode premiere before April 2027 debut
Kagurabachi's anime will premiere its first two episodes at a March 2027 Japan finale before the series begins broadcasting in April.
Kagurabachi will premiere its first two anime episodes at a World Tour finale in Japan before the series begins its broadcast and streaming debut in April 2027, according to Anime Corner, citing a press release from the official Kagurabachi account.1
The world tour finale
The finale is scheduled for 25 March 2027 at Tokyo's Kabukiza Theatre, where the anime adaptation was originally announced. The event will screen the full-length first and second episodes, with cast appearances and live cinema viewings planned across Japan.1
Before that finale, the tour is due to show the first 20 minutes of Episode 1 at AFA Singapore on 29 November, Seoul on 6 December and CCXP Brazil in December, although the São Paulo date has not yet been confirmed.1
The anime
The planned cast appearances include Taihi Kimura as Chihiro Rokuhira, Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige Rokuhira and Katsuyuki Konishi as Togo Shiba. Cypic is handling animation production, with Tetsuya Takeuchi directing.1
The official Crunchyroll teaser confirms the anime's English title and provides the story's first proper look at its sword-wielding lead.2 You can watch it below.
Our opinion
A two-episode premiere gives Kagurabachi a meaningful showcase before its April broadcast, while the overseas tour stops make the rollout more than a Japan-only event. The dates outside Japan still have moving parts, so the finale is the firmest date here; fans should treat the São Paulo stop as provisional until organisers publish its schedule.
