Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly anime adds two cast members
Hirofumi Nojima and Shogo Yano join the cast ahead of the anime's 15th episode on October 18.
Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly (魔法の姉妹ルルットリリィ) is adding two more cast members ahead of the anime's 15th episode. Bandai Namco Filmworks announced Hirofumi Nojima as Umezō, an inhabitant of the magical country Felix Star, and Shōgo Yano as Tachibana, an actor in the drama Lilly and Rin are filming. Both characters will appear on October 18, according to Anime News Network's report on the press release. 1
The new cast
Nojima joins the series as Umezō, while Yano plays Tachibana, the headmaster's son in the in-show drama. The announcement adds to the second part of the series, which began airing on October 4 after the first cour's earlier run. 1
The show follows sisters Fū and Rui, who gain magical powers after encountering a mysterious spaceship. Their abilities last for one year and must remain secret as they pursue idol careers, giving the series a bright magical-girl setup with a sibling secret at its centre. 12
The new characters arrive as the anime continues its broadcast run rather than as part of a new premiere announcement. That makes the October 18 episode the immediate point of interest for viewers already following the second cour.
Where to watch
The anime airs on Tokyo MX, ABC TV, TV Aichi, BS NTV and AT-X in Japan. International availability varies: the series is listed through services including Ani-One, Tubi and regional broadcasters, with the official global site providing the latest availability information. 12
Bandai Namco Filmworks has also streamed episodes through its official YouTube presence in selected territories. The channel's earlier episode release is useful context, but viewers should check regional access rather than assume every episode is available everywhere. 3
Our opinion
This is a modest but useful cast update: it gives the next episode a little extra shape without pretending the announcement is a major production overhaul. The stronger hook is timing. With the second cour already under way, introducing Umezō and Tachibana now suggests the show is still widening its supporting cast as its magical-idol story moves into its next stretch.
