The second season of A Returner's Magic Should Be Special will begin on Wednesday 7 October, according to the anime's official Japanese site. The series returns on Fuji TV's +Ultra block, with a second promotional video and a new main key visual released alongside the date.

The new video previews the season's opening theme, “Sorrow”, performed by the rock band FLOW. The official listing places the show in the Wednesday 24:45 slot, which is effectively Thursday at 00:45 in Japan.
