Sanrio Characters charms go online with Halloween and Christmas designs
Avail will sell Halloween and Christmas Sanrio Characters mascot charms through the Shimamura Park online store from 26 October.
Avail is putting a new set of Sanrio Characters mascot charms on sale through the Shimamura Park online store from 12pm on 26 October. The range is split between Halloween and Christmas designs, with no in-store Avail release planned.1
Halloween designs
The Halloween line includes eight characters: Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Badtz-Maru, My Melody, Pompompurin, Keroppi, Cinnamoroll and Cogimyun. Each charm costs ¥1,980, including tax, according to Anime! Anime!'s report.1
Christmas designs
The Christmas range takes the form of tree and wreath charms decorated with Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, Hangyodon, Kuromi, Usahana, My Melody and Pochacco. These are priced at ¥10,890 each, including tax.1
The products are described as Shimamura Park exclusives, so readers outside Japan should not assume they will appear through a regular Avail shop or an international Sanrio storefront. The source report also links to promotional posts for both the Halloween and Christmas designs, but the online launch window remains the clearest confirmed purchasing detail.1
Our opinion
This is a straightforward seasonal merchandise drop rather than a new character announcement, but the split pricing makes the range unusually easy to understand: the Halloween pieces are small, individual charms, while the Christmas designs are larger statement items. The online-only launch also matters more than the character list here, because it sets expectations before collectors start hunting for stock on resale platforms.
The charms go on sale at 12pm on 26 October through Shimamura Park. Prices and availability may change after launch.
