The Apothecary Diaries Tokyo City View exhibition enters final days

Tokyo City View’s The Apothecary Diaries exhibition closes on 26 October, with new merchandise and a final photo competition still running.

The The Apothecary Diaries × Tokyo City View exhibition is entering its final days, with the Roppongi Hills event due to close on 26 October. A new batch of exhibition merchandise is available, while an official photo competition is offering signed posters and a set of limited clear bookmarks. 12

The event, titled The Apothecary Diaries × TOKYO CITY VIEW, combines the anime’s characters and story moments with the observation deck’s night-time Tokyo panorama. The official campaign image centres on Maomao and Jinshi against the city skyline, matching the exhibition’s focus on dance, night skies and the series’ visual atmosphere. 1

Tokyo City View says the event opened on 1 August and runs through 26 October at the 52nd-floor venue in Roppongi Hills. Visitors can explore displays built around Maomao, Jinshi and Loulan, with video, music and the city view used together to recreate the series’ dreamy setting. 1

The exhibition shop’s October merchandise includes an acrylic block, badge collection, sticker collection, A5 clear-file set and an acrylic muddler set featuring Maomao’s expressions. The products use newly drawn chibi artwork created for the event, giving the closing stretch a fresh reason to visit rather than simply repeating the original display. 2

The official photo competition is open until 26 October at 11:59 p.m. JST. Entrants must follow the event’s official X account and quote-repost the campaign post with a photograph taken at the exhibition. Two winners will receive signed event posters — one signed by Maomao voice actor Aoi Yuki and one by Jinshi voice actor Takeo Otsuka — while five more will receive a complete set of the event’s three “Night Sky Dance” clear bookmarks. 2

The event is part of a busy period for the franchise. The anime’s third season began airing in October, and The Apothecary Diaries is also preparing its first feature film, The Apothecary Diaries: The Secret of the Unfated Princess, for release on 11 December. 2

Our opinion

The exhibition’s strongest idea is the way it treats Tokyo’s skyline as part of the attraction rather than a backdrop outside the ticket price. Maomao and Jinshi’s night-sky campaign image makes that connection immediately clear, and the late merchandise refresh gives returning fans something tangible to discover before the event closes.

This is a useful final reminder rather than an evergreen event listing: the exhibition ends on 26 October, and the photo competition closes the same night. Anyone planning a visit should check Tokyo City View’s official page for current admission and venue information before travelling.

The The Apothecary Diaries × TOKYO CITY VIEW exhibition runs until 26 October 2026 at Tokyo City View in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo.
