The Apothecary Diaries pop-up shop opens in Taipei with new goods
The Apothecary Diaries pop-up shop will bring Ice Dessert artwork and new Maomao and Jinshi merchandise to Taipei from 5 November.
The Apothecary Diaries is taking its latest “Ice Dessert” merchandise campaign to Taipei, with a new pop-up shop scheduled to run from 5 to 30 November. The event will be held at Shop 6 in the Ximen Underground Mall, directly connected to Taipei MRT’s Ximen Station exit 5, and will offer new goods featuring Maomao and Jinshi in specially drawn summer-themed artwork.
The campaign follows a Japanese collaboration café held in July under the “Ice Dessert” theme. According to the event information, the Taipei shop will bring that artwork and a range of newly produced mini-character designs to Taiwan. The line-up includes acrylic stands, can badges, tote bags and other merchandise built around the anime’s two central characters, shown with chilled drinks and desserts.
Customers will also be able to receive a purchase bonus while stocks last. Every NT$770 spent on eligible products earns one random bromide from a four-design set. The bonus artwork differs between the physical Taipei event and the later online sale, so collectors will have two versions to look out for.
The shop is scheduled to open at 11am and close at 9pm each day, except on its first day, when opening is set for noon. After the physical event ends, Anique Shop Taiwan is scheduled to begin online sales on 8 December at 10am. The official Anique Taiwan shop lists the campaign under its Ice Dessert collection, providing a first-party reference for the merchandise and its online availability.
The promotion arrives as the third season of The Apothecary Diaries begins its broadcast run. The series follows Maomao, a poison-taster with a talent for solving mysteries, and Jinshi, whose position inside the imperial court gives their investigations a wider political dimension. The new merchandise campaign is separate from the anime’s story developments, but it gives Taiwan-based fans a chance to buy artwork tied to the characters as the new season reaches audiences.
Our opinion
This is a straightforward regional merchandise expansion rather than a major anime announcement, but it has a useful hook for fans: the Taipei event is not simply repeating a generic catalogue. It brings a clearly defined Ice Dessert visual theme, a local purchase bonus and a follow-up online window together in one campaign. The practical details matter here, particularly the different bonus artwork and the short gap between the physical shop and online launch. Fans planning a visit should treat the stock and random bonus as limited, while collectors outside Taipei will have a second chance through Anique’s official Taiwan shop.
