What is happening
The second edition of the “IBARAKI is Blossoming: The Apothecary Diaries Tour” stamp rally begins on October 17 and runs across 10 tourist attractions in Ibaraki Prefecture. The campaign is scheduled to continue until January 18, 2027, giving visitors a longer window to explore the region through the anime’s characters and setting. 1
The campaign is a partnership between Ibaraki Prefecture and The Apothecary Diaries, the mystery anime about Maomao, a palace apothecary who uses her knowledge of poisons and medicine to solve cases. The official announcement says the collaboration’s new phase adds original goods and special food menus at Ibaraki Flower Park and The Botanical Resort Rinon. 12
New menus and merchandise
Each qualifying collaboration menu comes with one randomly selected coaster from four original designs featuring Maomao, Jinshi, Basen and Rahan. The announced menu range includes drinks, desserts and themed dishes inspired by the characters and local ingredients. The campaign’s goods include a diorama acrylic stand using newly drawn art, a 12-design trading acrylic keychain set and a large towel featuring Maomao and Jinshi. 2
The items are available at Ibaraki Flower Park, The Botanical Resort Rinon, Suifu Bussan Centre and Ami Colle at Ami Premium Outlet’s food gallery. The official portal also says an augmented-reality photo spot featuring Maomao, Jinshi and Basen is running from October 3 to November 29. 1
The official collaboration video
The campaign’s official promotional material presents Ibaraki’s flowers, landscapes and food alongside Maomao and Jinshi. The official The Apothecary Diaries portal links visitors to the special site, where the second collaboration video is available. 13
Our opinion
This is a stronger second phase than a simple branded merchandise drop because the collaboration gives visitors several ways into the setting: a route across local attractions, food tied to the characters and a visual campaign that connects the anime with Ibaraki’s seasonal scenery. The practical details matter most here. The stamp rally has a defined 10-location footprint and a long run, while the menu and merchandise venues are clearly listed, so fans can plan a visit rather than treating the announcement as a short-lived online promotion.
