The official The Dangers in My Heart anime website has confirmed that Season 3 will begin broadcasting in April 2027. The announcement includes a new key visual and teaser PV featuring Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada, but does not give a specific premiere day, broadcaster schedule or streaming-platform rollout outside Japan.1

The announcement concerns the third television season of the romantic comedy-drama based on Norio Sakurai's manga. The series is also known by its Japanese title Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu (僕の心のヤバイやつ), but the official English branding remains The Dangers in My Heart.

What has been announced

The April 2027 window is the only release timing confirmed by the official announcement. That means viewers have a month-level window, rather than a precise date or episode schedule. The production committee has not yet published details about the broadcaster, episode count or the services that will carry the new season in each territory.

The accompanying visual places Kyotaro and Anna together in a dramatic fantasy-tinged scene, while the announcement's teaser PV provides the first promotional look at the new season. The official page identifies the pair as the central characters represented in the visual, keeping the focus on the relationship that has driven the anime since its first season.

This is a Season 3 broadcast announcement rather than a confirmation that episodes are already in production for a particular streaming service. Platform availability, subtitled and dubbed release plans, and regional launch dates should therefore be treated as details still to come.

The story so far

The Dangers in My Heart follows Kyotaro, an isolated student whose darkly theatrical inner monologue hides a more ordinary adolescent awkwardness, and Anna, a popular classmate who gradually draws him out of that shell. Their relationship develops through small acts of trust, embarrassing misunderstandings and an increasingly open willingness to rely on one another.

The anime's appeal comes from the contrast between Kyotaro's melodramatic self-image and the more perceptive person underneath it. Anna is not simply a distant idealised classmate, either: the series gives her eccentricities, anxieties and an active role in changing the emotional balance between them.

Season 3 will follow that relationship after the events of the previous season, although the official announcement has not disclosed a plot summary. It is consequently too early to say which manga material the new episodes will adapt or whether the season will reach a particular story milestone.

Our opinion

An April 2027 return is welcome news for a series that has built its reputation on patience rather than spectacle. The Dangers in My Heart works because its biggest changes often arrive through tiny shifts in how Kyotaro and Anna speak to each other, so a Season 3 announcement does not need a plot twist to be significant. The sensible expectation is a continuation that lets the characters' awkwardness breathe instead of rushing towards a neat conclusion.

The missing details are frustrating but useful: without a day, platform list or episode count, there is no reason to pretend the rollout is more settled than it is. For now, April 2027 is the firm information. Further announcements should clarify where and when international viewers can watch it.
